Daniel advises on all aspects of corporate law, specialising in public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity and VC investments and fundraisings and equity capital markets transactions including flotations and secondary offerings on the official list and AIM. Daniel also specialises in partnership matters, debt finance transactions and restructurings. He has particular expertise in the real estate, TMT leisure and hotel sectors and his clients including entrepreneurs, SMEs, funds, Nomads and brokers.

Claire, Hybridan’s founding partner and CEO, was previously at Nomura in the UK Small Cap Life Sciences and Technology Sales and Trading team, and prior to joining Nomura, Claire was a mid-cap equity analyst at Lazard, with a significant involvement in IPOs and capital market transactions. Claire started her career as an analyst and consultant at Datamonitor covering large cap companies. Claire is on the Board of the Quoted Companies Alliance as a non-executive Director and is also Deputy Chairman of the QCA Board. Claire also heads up the Small Cap Awards judging panel of investors and advisors as Chairman. Claire has a Double Honours Degree from Manchester University, where she also undertook some postgraduate studies. She is fluent in French and German, and actively involved in a number of groups and government initiatives to empower women in the workforce and on Boards. Claire remains a mentor at Manchester University.

Gervais Williams is Head of Equities at Premier Miton Investors and manages a number of funds and trusts that aggregate to over £1.5bn, he joined the group in 2011. His fund management career extends over 30 years including 17 years at Gartmore Group Ltd, where he was Head of UK Small Companies investing in UK smaller companies and Irish equities. Gervais is a member of the AIM Advisory Council, and a board member of the Quoted Companies Alliance. He was a member of the Patient Capital Review panel with the Chancellor of the Exchequer two years ago where the recommendations were put into legislation in the subsequent budget. Gervais Williams has published three books, ‘Slow Finance’ in the autumn of 2011 (Bloomsbury), ‘The Future is Small’ published in November 2014 (Harriman House) and ‘The Retreat of Globalisation’ published in December 2016 (Harriman House).

Joanne Hart is the award-winning Investments Editor of the Mail on Sunday, where she writes the weekly share-tipping column, Midas. Midas looks at UK companies of every size and shape but tends to focus on smaller firms, which receive less attention elsewhere in the mainstream media. Joanne has been a financial journalist for more than 25 years, working on the Evening Standard, The Times and Channel Four.

George O’Connor joined Stifel in 2016, as an equities sell-side analyst. Mr. O’Connor covers the Software & IT services sector for a range of UK, European and North American institutional investors. Mr. O’Connor has 30 years of relevant experience in equity research and industry. In addition to covering plcs, Mr O’Connor has been lead analyst on many software and technology company IPOs including Focusrite, WANdisco, Osirium, Fusionex, Eagle Eye, The Panoply and LoopUp.Frequently rated by Starmine and Reuters, Mr. O’Connor was awarded Small Cap Analyst of the Year in 2013 and in 2019. Prior to his first research role in the City, Mr. O’Connor spent nine years as an industry consultant working for a client base of IT companies as well as user and government organizations. On a pro bono basis, Mr. O’Connor is a judge for the Worshipful Company of Information Technologist annual Enterprise Awards, which are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ for the UK IT industry.
